Sweet Sixtee

The Situation

Most 60th birthday products still lean on the same tired formula: over-the-hill jokes, generic black-and-gold palettes, and decorations that feel more like a reminder of aging than a celebration of life. Sweet Sixtee was created to flip that script.

The idea behind the brand was fresh, emotionally resonant, and commercially clear: create elevated 60th birthday celebration sets for women who still feel vibrant, stylish, social, and fully alive. Instead of treating sixty like a punchline, Sweet Sixtee treats it like a milestone worth honoring with beauty, joy, and intention. The live brand now reflects that clearly, with positioning around “Sixty never looked so good,” curated collections, and planning resources designed to help customers create memorable celebrations with less stress.

When Sweet Sixtee came to 712, the concept had heart, but it needed structure, strategy, and execution. The brand needed a sharper identity, stronger messaging, a more polished logo, actual sellable product design, packaging, a custom Shopify website, launch content, and early advertising support to begin finding traction.

What we Built

Brand Strategy / Brand Blueprint

We developed a full Brand Blueprint to give Sweet Sixtee a real strategic foundation. As with our broader strategy engagements, this included competitor and positioning research, buyer persona development, complete brand messaging, a communications playbook covering brand personality, voice, tone, and style, and a high-level execution and marketing strategy. The strategy work helped define how Sweet Sixtee could stand apart in a category full of outdated, uninspired milestone decor by reframing turning sixty as something fabulous, stylish, and worth celebrating.

The strategy also clarified that this was not just about one type of buyer. The brand was built to speak to multiple audiences: the woman celebrating herself, the thoughtful friend planning a party for someone special, the more style-driven and social-media-conscious shopper, and even professional planners or retail-oriented buyers looking for something more unique. That multi-persona foundation is reflected throughout the Canva strategy assets you created for the brand.

Product Design

This project went well beyond brand messaging and website work. We helped design the actual products Sweet Sixtee sells — including branded celebration pieces such as backdrops, welcome signs, and related party elements. That product design work helped translate the brand strategy into physical, sellable experiences customers could actually use to host a more beautiful and cohesive sixtieth birthday celebration.

Packaging Design

We created a custom box for the product and designed a custom insert as part of the unboxing and customer experience. That helped make the brand feel more complete, premium, and intentional from the moment the package arrived.

Shopify Website Design and Development

We designed and developed a custom Shopify website to bring the brand to life online. The site needed to do several jobs well at once: introduce a new concept, emotionally reframe what turning sixty can look like, showcase the products beautifully, and make it easy for visitors to browse and buy. The current site presents curated collections, strong lifestyle-forward messaging, and blog-based planning content that supports both inspiration and conversion.

Content Strategy and Lauch Content

We developed a complete content strategy and created the first 25 social media posts to help the brand launch with consistency and momentum. This gave Sweet Sixtee a starting content engine and a clearer path for how to talk about its products, values, and audience across channels.

Facebook Advertising and Message Testing

We also supported early Facebook advertising, including message testing, to help the brand learn which concepts, positioning angles, and emotional hooks resonated most strongly with the market.

Logo Refinement and Brand Polish

Sweet Sixtee already had an early logo direction, but we refined and recreated it into a cleaner, stronger, more polished brand mark that felt more elevated and ready for market.

Client Testimonial

..Another aspect of 712 Creative's business model that was very appealing to me in doing my research was all the processes that were in place. I really felt assured that we were going to do some research first. Let's make sure that we have a product that we can have a market for. And then, well, okay, now that we've determined that, let's see what kind of competition is out there. And then let's see what other needs that we might be able to fill for our market segment...

The Shift

Sweet Sixtee moved from being a strong idea with emotional potential to becoming a much more fully realized ecommerce brand. Instead of relying on a concept alone, the business now has a strategic foundation, refined identity, actual designed products, packaging, a custom online storefront, launch content, and early advertising insights to support growth.

Just as importantly, the brand now has a much clearer point of view. Rather than selling generic 60th birthday decor, Sweet Sixtee is positioned as a more uplifting, stylish alternative in a stale category — one that treats sixty as a milestone worth celebrating with elegance, personality, and joy. The current public brand reflects that clearly through its messaging, product collections, and party-planning resources.
